Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the relationship between you and Knotted Rugs ("we", "us", "our") when you use the website knottedrugs.co.uk or purchase any product from us. By using the site or placing an order you agree to these Terms.
1. About us
Knotted Rugs operates a rug showroom and online store from 82 Bromley Road, Beckenham BR3 5NP, United Kingdom. You can contact us by email at info@knottedrugs.co.uk or by phone on +44 7554 254513.
2. Products
Every rug we sell is hand-knotted and one-of-a-kind. While we make every effort to display colours, sizes and condition accurately, slight variations in photography, screen calibration and natural ageing of vegetable dyes mean the rug you receive may differ slightly from the on-screen image. Where you are unsure, we encourage you to view the rug in person at our Beckenham showroom or to request additional photographs before purchasing.
Stock is updated regularly but, because each rug is unique, we reserve the right to cancel any order if the rug is no longer available. In that event we will refund you in full within 7 working days.
3. Pricing
- All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable.
- Free standard UK mainland delivery is included in the price unless specified otherwise.
- Highlands & Islands and international delivery is quoted separately on request before order confirmation.
- We reserve the right to correct manifest pricing errors before the order is dispatched.
4. Placing an order
- Add the rug to your cart and proceed to checkout.
- Enter your delivery details and complete payment via Stripe.
- You will receive an order confirmation by email. This email confirms that we have received your order — it does not yet form a binding contract.
- A binding contract is formed when we send you a dispatch confirmation by email.
5. Payment
All online payments are processed by Stripe Inc. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. We do not see or store full card details.
For showroom purchases we also accept cash and direct bank transfer.
6. Delivery
- UK mainland orders are normally dispatched within 2 working days of payment.
- Standard UK delivery is typically 2–4 working days from dispatch.
- Large or extra-large rugs may be delivered by our own van within Greater London — you will be contacted to arrange a delivery slot.
- You become responsible for the rug once it has been delivered to the address you provided.
7. Cancellation and returns
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a statutory right to cancel any online order within 14 days of receiving the goods. Please see our Return Policy for the full cancellation and refund procedure.
8. Faulty or damaged goods
If a rug arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the damage and the outer packaging. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you are entitled to a refund, repair or replacement of any goods that are not as described, of unsatisfactory quality, or not fit for purpose.
9. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, our total liability to you for any direct loss arising from a purchase is limited to the price you paid for the rug.
10. Intellectual property
All site content — photographs, text, logo and design — is the property of Knotted Rugs or licensed to us. You may not copy, redistribute or republish any part of the site without our written permission.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively by the courts of England and Wales.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms occasionally. The version applicable to your order is the one in force on the day your order is placed.
